Description

Hard breathing in cold water is what ices a second stage, starting at the valve seat, and the A700 on this DIR rig is built around stopping that. The pairing joins the MK25 EVO/A700 regulator set, with its R105 octopus on a 1 m yellow Super-Flow hose, to the S-TEK Pure system package at the SCUBAPRO set price, with a Compact SPG or Compact Combo 2 to add at set price. The A700's metal casing and metal valve housing pull heat from the water to the valve seat, so cracking effort stays steady past forty minutes. It weighs 265 g, rates work of breathing at 0.5 joules per litre and flows 2000 litres per minute at 200 bar. The MK25 EVO is an air-balanced flow-through piston with XTIS insulation, and the R105 octopus has its own dive and pre-dive switch. Over a drysuit and hood, the S-TEK Pure's continuous webbing is set once and stays at that length, on a 3D formed backplate with a stainless waist buckle. Its 13 kg Donut Wing is a single-cylinder size. It suits a cold water diver who breathes hard and dives a DIR configuration.
