Musa Mask

Description

Sand in a mask frame is the reason so many holiday masks are thrown away rather than rinsed: it lodges in the crevices between frame and skirt and grinds away at the seal. A frameless mask has no such crevices. The Musa bonds a hypoallergenic silicone skirt straight onto the lens, so there is nowhere for sand or water to sit, it dries quickly, and it folds flat into a bag. Removing the frame also brings the inclined tempered glass lens closer to the eyes for a wide, natural field of view, and drops the internal volume so it clears and equalises easily and creates less drag on a breath-hold dive. The soft skirt adapts to different face shapes for a leak-free seal, and pivoting micrometric buckles let the strap move independently, taking stress off the connection point. It suits a traveller or snorkeller packing light.
