Suunto Nautic TPU Strap Kit

Description

TPU is the harder-wearing of the two Nautic straps, and it is the one to take if your diving is rough on kit. It does not absorb water, it wipes clean rather than needing a rinse and a dry, and it stands up to the abrasion a shore entry over rock puts through a strap. Textile is more comfortable against bare skin and stretches over neoprene; TPU holds its shape and shrugs off salt. Three situations point here: a diver who works from a boat and handles the computer in gloves, a diver whose textile strap has picked up grit and started to chafe, and anyone who wants a second strap so the computer can go from a drysuit to everyday wear. This is Suunto's own kit for the Nautic, so it fits the lugs properly. It suits a Nautic owner who is hard on straps. Take the elastic textile kit instead if comfort matters more than durability.
