CL-02 Tri-Butterfly Clamp

Description

Every joint in a camera rig, between tray, arm and light, depends on a clamp that grips hard and releases easily, and a clamp with only two positions limits how the pieces fit together. The CL-02 is Nautieye's tri-butterfly clamp for the 25 mm ball-arm system used by most underwater housings and lights. Each jaw has three holes instead of two, so one clamp can join three balls: an arm, a light and a float, say. A large wing knob tightens it with gloves on. It is made from aluminium and weighs 74 g in air and about 52 g in water. It fits an extra light added to a compact camera tray, a video rig where a light and a monitor share one joint, and a spare to carry on a trip in case a clamp is dropped over the side. It suits an underwater photographer or videographer building a ball-and-arm rig.
