Naxos Mask

Description

Fogging is a temperature problem, not a cleanliness one, and the Naxos treats it as such. Warm moist air leaving the nose is caught by a system of membranes moulded around the eyes and nose, which deflect the flow towards the rubber walls rather than the glass. On the outside of those walls sit two small heat exchangers working like radiators, lowering the temperature inside the mask towards the water's and trapping moisture droplets before the air reaches the lenses. The mask itself is compact, smaller than a classic dive mask, without losing field of view, and new internal ribs let it adapt to a wide range of face shapes. Downward vision is increased. One honest caution: the lenses are not chemically treated, so a new mask needs its factory film cleaned off before first use. It suits a diver whose mask fogs however carefully it is prepared.
