Neoprene Mask Strap Cover

Description

Silicone grips hair, which is exactly what it is meant to do against skin and exactly the wrong behaviour across the back of the head. Anyone who has pulled a strap out of long hair at the end of a dive knows the problem. Slipping a neoprene sleeve over the strap puts a smooth surface between the two, so the mask goes on and comes off in one movement rather than a fight on a rolling boat deck. The cover is wider than the strap beneath it, which spreads the load and gives something to grip when donning a mask in thick gloves, and it stays put once fitted rather than needing adjustment between dives. It fits standard dive mask straps. One thing to do in the right order: the cover hides the buckles, so set the strap length before fitting it. Divers already running a split strap or a slap strap have the same benefit built in and do not need one. It suits a diver with long hair or one diving in thick gloves.
