Description

The problem with a backup light is that it spends the whole dive not being used, and anything clipped loose for that long swings, snags on a line and abrades against the harness. A pouch with a retractor keeps it stowed and still instantly available: the light pulls out to arm's length when needed and travels back on its own, which is a one-handed operation at a point in a dive when the other hand is usually busy. Neoprene grips the light without a buckle or a zip to fail, and absorbs knocks a hard case would pass straight through. This is the standard size; a mini version is built for Big Blue's smaller lights. That answers a backup torch on a technical rig, a reel dive and a cluttered harness. It suits a diver stowing a light where it will not snag.
