Big Blue Neoprene Single Light Hood

Description

Mounting a light on the head rather than the hand does two things at once: it frees both hands for a reel, a camera or a valve, and it puts the beam where the eyes are already looking, so nothing has to be aimed. This hood carries a single light holster for that, in neoprene, which grips the torch without hard fastenings and absorbs knocks that a rigid mount would pass straight into the light. It is a simpler arrangement than a helmet mount and more comfortable over a long dive, with nothing to bolt on or adjust. A double holster version is built for technical divers carrying a primary and a backup on the head together. That answers a survey dive, a night dive and any work where the hands are committed. It suits a diver who wants one head-mounted light without a helmet.
