Description

Every glance at a wrist is a glance away from the line, the ceiling or the buddy, and on a demanding dive those seconds accumulate. The NERD 2 removes them by floating the display in front of one eye, focused so it reads like a screen at arm's length. On a deep trimix dive the depth, ceiling and gas plan sit in the same field of view as the shot line. On a wreck penetration with a reel in one hand and a torch in the other, nothing has to be lifted to check the numbers. On a cold water dive with a hood and dry gloves there is no wrist to expose. It is rated to 300 metres, holds five open and five closed circuit gases, links four transmitters and weighs 74 grams, mounting off a 17 to 21 millimetre regulator hose. It suits an experienced technical diver who has decided that hands free is worth the money, and the Ballistic Nylon Carrying Case for NERD 2 protects it in transit.
