NOVA LIGHT 250

The SCUBAPRO Nova 250 is a compact light that fits the smallest BCD pocket, which is the argument for it as a backup: a light that lives in a pocket permanently is a light that is there when the primary fails. It runs on a single CR123 cell, and the disposable version of that cell has a shelf life of up to 10 years, so it can sit in a pocket over a winter and still work.

Three modes are offered, 100 percent power, 50 percent power and flash, with the flash mode usable as a signal. An over-pressure valve releases battery off-gassing, which is what makes a small lithium light safe to seal. The body is matte black aluminium, and output is 250 lumens on a disposable cell or 300 on a rechargeable.
