SCUBAPRO Nova Light 250

Description

A disposable CR123 holds its charge for up to ten years, so this can sit forgotten in a BCD pocket over a winter and still fire on the first dive of the season. It is a backup light small enough for the smallest pocket, running on a single cell: 250 lumens on a disposable or 300 on a rechargeable, from a Cree XPG LED at 4500 K in a 12 degree beam measuring 2700 lux at one metre. Three modes cover full power, 50 percent and flash. The matte black aluminium body measures 100 by 26 mm, weighs 70 g with the battery in and is rated to 150 metres, sealed on double O-rings with an over-pressure valve. A 12 degree beam is tight enough to point out a nudibranch or signal across a wreck, and the extended head shroud keeps it out of a buddy's mask. Burn time is one hour, making this a backup rather than a primary. It suits a diver carrying a backup or signalling light.
