SCUBAPRO Nova Light 850

Description

A charger, an adaptor and a plug point are three things that can be missing on a trip; C cells bought at a filling station are not. That is the whole argument for running an 850 lumen light on three disposables rather than a proprietary pack. A Cree XPL LED supplies those 850 lumens at 4200 kelvin, measured at 17,000 lux at one metre through an 8 degree beam, with burn time reaching seven hours at full power and a 50 percent mode extending it. The machined aluminium body measures 230 by 43 millimetres and weighs 510 grams loaded, rated to 150 metres, on double O-ring seals with an over-pressure valve covering battery off-gassing. The tail push-button works in 5 millimetre gloves and carries a safety lock against accidental switching in a packed bag, and the extended head shroud keeps the beam out of a buddy's eyes at close range. Batteries are not included; it takes three C cells, disposable or rechargeable. It suits a diver who cannot rely on charging.
