NRS Compact Rescue Throw Bag

Description

Space behind a kayak seat is tight, and the NRS Compact Rescue Throw Bag fits a full rescue line into a bag small and light enough to live there. It carries 21.3 m of 6 mm yellow polypropylene rope that floats on the surface where a swimmer can see and grab it, rated at 4.2 kN (950 lb) for the rope alone. Internal foam flotation keeps the bag on top of the water after the throw, and a mesh panel speeds draining and drying. A flared nylon top with a barrel-lock drawstring helps the rope pay out smoothly and makes restuffing quicker after each throw. The whole bag weighs about 540 g. Kayakers carry it on every river run; on a small boat or at a beach dive site it sits ready for a snorkeller or swimmer who drifts too far.
