NRS Guardian Wedge Waist Throw Bag

Description

A throw bag only helps if it is within reach when someone goes in, and the NRS Guardian Wedge Waist Throw Bag rides on the hips where a hand finds it without looking. The waist pack holds a compact, removable Wedge throw bag loaded with 16.8 m of 6 mm floating polypropylene rope, rated at 4.22 kN (950 lb) for the rope alone. A wide hook-and-loop flap and a zip open the outer bag so the inner bag pulls completely free of the belt, and drainage holes let water out once it is back in place. The inner bag has foam flotation, mesh sides for drainage and drying, and reflective tape for low light. An adjustable belt with a quick-release buckle gives a clean exit in an emergency, and webbing loops along it take carabiners. Scouting a rapid from the bank, standing on a rock ledge or sitting in a kayak, the line stays on the body instead of in the boat. It suits kayakers, river guides and swiftwater rescuers who want a throw line on them at all times.
