NRS Rapid Rescuer PFD

Description

A rescue life jacket has to float its wearer and work as a tool at the same time, and NRS built the Rapid Rescuer PFD to the standards of rescue professionals. A 50 mm quick-release rescue belt with an anodised aluminium ring lets a rescuer be tethered for live-bait swims and other swiftwater techniques, then released quickly if needed. The 400 denier ripstop nylon shell handles snags and debris, and interconnected webbing inside forms a harness for extra security on a live-bait swim. Front zip entry is backed by buckles, a silicone-coated strip at the hem stops it riding up, and four chest panels with a single thin back panel leave room to swim and move. External pockets with internal attachment points keep rescue tools organised. SOLAS reflective tape helps at night, and hook-and-loop patches take team placards. It gives 95 N (22 lb) of flotation, fits chests from 81 to 142 cm and carries US Coast Guard certification. It suits swiftwater rescue teams, river guides and emergency services water units.
