Octo Plug

Description

A plug that fits inside a mouthpiece keeps it covered and secured, and the Octo Plug does that for an alternate air source. It fits into the mouthpiece of the alternate and secures onto the BCD, so the second stage stays in place until it is pulled free. It is compatible with most regulators and mouthpieces, but not moulded comfort-bite mouthpieces, so the mouthpiece is worth checking first. On a reef dive it stops the second stage trailing along the bottom, on a sandy shore entry it keeps grit out of the mouthpiece, and on a training dive the alternate stays in one known place on the BCD. It suits a diver with a standard mouthpiece who wants the octopus stowed on the BCD.
