OMS BigGrip Bolt Snap

Description

Bolt snaps take a beating on every dive, and the useful ones still open easily in cold hands years later. The OMS BigGrip Bolt Snap has an extended section on the gate that gives a gloved thumb more to push against, whether the diver wears thick neoprene, dry gloves or none at all. All the hardware and springs are 316 stainless steel, the marine grade chosen for kit that lives in salt water. A swivel eye lets the snap turn, so a clipped item hangs straight instead of twisting its cord or webbing. On a backplate harness the snaps clip off a backup light, a reel or a pocket, and on a stage cylinder they keep the gas close and within reach. OMS lists three sizes, 10 mm (3/8 inch), 13 mm (1/2 inch) and 19 mm (3/4 inch). It suits any diver building a harness or replacing worn clips, especially in cold water.
