Description

A travel BCD has to pack small and still trim like a backplate rig, and this OMS set pairs the IQ Lite soft backpack with the Performance Mono Wing 27 lb to do both. The backpack weighs 1.1 kg (2.4 lb) and uses anodised aluminium hardware, with four trim weight pockets in the back pad for fine-tuning balance around a single aluminium cylinder. The donut wing gives 27 lb (about 12.5 kg) of lift, moves gas freely around the cylinder and has stabilising bars to limit roll, which helps hold position on a long reef drift. Both pieces fold flat for a liveaboard week or a weekend at the coast, and the wing's 1000 denier nylon shell with urethane backing takes knocks from boat decks and rocky entries. The harness comes in four sizes and the wing in eight colours. It suits a single-cylinder diver who wants a light, modular wing set for travel.
