OMS Overpressure Valve 3/8 UNF

Description

A first stage with no second stage fitted, such as an argon or suit-inflation regulator, has nowhere to vent if its intermediate pressure creeps, and an overpressure valve gives that gas a safe way out. The OMS Overpressure Valve screws into a standard 3/8 UNF low-pressure port and vents before the rising pressure reaches the hoses and inflators downstream. On a drysuit argon bottle it guards the inflator hose and the suit valve if the regulator seat starts to leak during a long decompression stop. On an older first stage built without its own relief valve, it fills a spare low-pressure port and adds the same protection to the inflator hoses. The compact metal body seals on an O-ring and sits close against the first stage, keeping a tidy rig tidy. It suits a technical or drysuit diver running a regulator without a second stage.
