OMS Slim Signal Buoy 1.8 m

Description

On a drift dive the boat finds a group by its marker, and a tall, slim buoy stays visible in a chop that hides a shorter one. The OMS Slim Signal Buoy is about 1.8 m long and gives around 12 kg of lift once full, enough to hold a reel line taut through a safety stop. It fills three ways: from an octopus through a one-way duck valve in the open base, from a BCD or drysuit low-pressure hose on the no-lock inflator, or by mouth. The no-lock connector stops the hose locking on as the buoy rises, and an over-pressure valve vents the expanding gas near the surface. On a decompression dive it marks the group for the whole ascent, and on a shore dive it warns passing boats of divers below. Orange, yellow and pink are offered. It suits a diver who shoots a marker from depth on drift or decompression dives.
