OMS Soft Single Tank Adaptor

Description

Large steel cylinders can roll on a flat backplate, and this light pad cuts that movement without packing a metal adaptor in the luggage. At 40 cm long and 10.8 cm wide, the OMS Soft Single Tank Adaptor sits between the plate and the cylinder and gives the two cam bands something to bite against. OMS is clear that it is not a true single tank adaptor: it works only on a backplate with the right cam slots for two bands. For a travelling diver counting every kilogram, it replaces a stainless adaptor and still steadies a big cylinder on a long boat dive. It is not needed under an OMS Performance Mono wing, because that air cell has its own built-in cylinder stabiliser doing the same job. Cam bands are sold separately. It suits a backplate diver who travels light and dives larger single cylinders.
