OMS Stainless Steel Backplate with SmartStream Harness

Description

A backplate harness is often too tight to get into or too loose once it is on, and the OMS SmartStream harness fixes that because pulling the waist straps forward draws the shoulder straps snug in one move. This set mounts the harness on a 2.3 kg (5 lb) stainless steel OMS backplate, enough mass to take some lead off the belt in a thick wetsuit or a drysuit. Three 316 stainless steel D-rings with weight stops, two at chest height and one on the waist, hold lights and reels where they were set. A sewn 2 inch crotch strap carries a DPV D-ring for towing behind a scooter. The plate is de-burred to spare webbing and wing fabric, with slots for cam bands on a single cylinder, a bottom slot for band bolts and 22 holes for accessories. It suits a diver building a modular backplate rig around a wing of choice, from a single-tank donut to a twinset wing.
