Big Blue One Inch Ball Joint

Description

The one inch ball is the fitting the underwater photography industry settled on, which is why an arm system built around it accepts components from more than one manufacturer instead of locking a rig to a single brand. This is the ball itself, the mount that gives a tray, a light or an accessory something for a clamp to close on. It is the part that gets bought in twos and threes rather than singly, because every new light and every new arm section needs one, and because the alternative to owning a spare is a dive without a light on the boat that has none for sale. It is also the standard cheap failure point to replace after a thread is stripped or a mount is bent in transit. That answers a new light, an extended arm chain and a damaged mount. It suits any photographer running a ball-and-clamp arm system.
