Description

Most protected lithium cells carry the protection board as a bulge under the wrapper, which is why so many of them are a fraction too long for the light they were bought for. This one sets the circuit into the anode instead, so the whole cell fits inside a steel shell at standard dimensions, and that shell also removes the short-circuit risk a bare cell carries loose in a bag. Capacity is 3400 milliamp-hours at a nominal 3.7 volts, rated beyond 500 full charge cycles, measuring 18.6 by 69 millimetres at about 47 grams, with a full charge taking 200 to 220 minutes on a standard 18650 charger. It fits the D530, D530V, D570-GL, D580 and the other 18650 lights in the range. This is the cheaper of the two 18650s stocked because it carries no charging port, which makes it the sensible choice for anyone with a charger already on the bench. It suits a diver who owns a charger and wants a spare cell.
