The OrcaTorch D511 puts out 2,200 lumens through a narrow 8-degree spot beam, built specifically for divers who need to reach further and cut through particulate rather than flood a wide area.

That focused beam angle is the point here. Instead of spreading light thin across a broad field, the D511 concentrates output into a tight column, ideal for examining sea life up close, working in tight spaces like wrecks and swim-throughs, or simply spotting detail at distance that a wider beam would wash out. It's driven by a CREE LED and pushes brightness well past what most recreational night-dive torches offer.

Power comes from two 26650 batteries, with the added flexibility of running on three C batteries if you're caught without a charge. The mechanical rotary head switch is a deliberate choice: turn to activate, no button contacts or magnetic reed switches to fail under pressure, just a simple mechanical action that keeps working at depth. Built-in intelligent over-heat protection, reverse polarity protection, and over-discharge protection round out the electronics, guarding both the light and the battery from the kind of misuse that shortens a torch's working life.
