Description

A primary light is judged on how far it throws, and the D530 puts its 1500 lumens through an 8 degree super focus beam rather than spreading it, which is what carries a usable spot down a wreck corridor instead of lighting the water in front of the diver. The cold white 6500K version runs 1500 lumens on high for 1 hour 30, dropping to 580 lumens for 3 hours 10 on low, from a single 18650 cell. Control is a titanium alloy side switch, workable in gloves, with a safe lock that prevents it being turned on inside a bag and an LED in the button showing what charge is left. Intelligent over-heat protection, reverse polarity protection and over-discharge protection are all fitted. The body is aircraft-grade aluminium with an alloy reflector, rated to 150 metres. It suits a diver wanting a long-throw primary on one cell.
