Description

A spot beam is exactly wrong for video, because it lights a bright circle and leaves the rest of the frame dark. The D530V opens to 120 degrees instead, wide enough to cover what a camera actually sees, which is the difference between usable footage and a hot spot in the middle of a black rectangle. Output is 1200 lumens, powered by an 18650 3400 mAh USB-C rechargeable cell, so it charges from the same cable as a phone rather than needing a dedicated dock. It is the same body and switch as the D530 primary, so a diver already carrying one is working a familiar torch, and it takes the OrcaTorch snoot for macro work where the flood needs narrowing to a controlled circle. It is rated to 150 metres. It suits a diver lighting video or wide stills rather than searching.
