Origin LD Fins

Description

Frog kicks and helicopter turns need a fin that responds instantly and stops when the leg stops, which is precisely what a long soft blade cannot do. The Origin LD is short and wide with a vented blade, generating powerful forward thrust while keeping drag low, and that geometry is what makes it precise enough for the finning techniques used inside wrecks and over silt. It descends directly from the Rondine Commando, the fin Cressi launched in 1950 for the U.S. Military Underwater Demolition Team, brought up to date rather than reissued. It is made from a single low-density material that is exceptionally abrasion resistant and comes out neutrally buoyant, which suits a diver in a wetsuit carrying medium to lightweight equipment. Sizes run XS/S to XXL in four colours. It suits an advanced diver using frog and helicopter kicks.
