Description

The alternate air source is the part of a rig most often bought last and cheapest, which is precisely backwards: it is the second stage a stranger breathes from during the one dive that goes wrong. This pack settles it at the start by supplying the Leg3nd regulator with its matching octopus. Both are built on the same platform, so both breathe to the same standard and both go to the technician as a single service. The regulator is over-balanced at first and second stage, 0.7 joules per litre of work of breathing, with a permanent dry chamber that isolates the mechanism from water, de-ice ribs against the cold and an Auto Closure Device that seals the inlet off the cylinder. That answers a first personal regulator, a cold water set, and a spare kept ready for a buddy. It suits a diver equipping properly rather than in stages.
