Dive kit fails in awkward places, on a boat, at a quarry or in a hotel room, and the usual fix is a heavy tool bag left at home. The Pandora Tool 2 from Pandora Lab puts the common tools into one flat titanium plate the size of a credit card, weighing 28 g. It carries spanners from 12 to 19 mm, hex wrenches and keys for port plugs, a K-type inflator tool, a hose spline wrench, a hook wrench, a second-stage orifice tool and a bottle opener. Version 2 merges the two earlier cuts, one shaped for Halcyon and one for Apeks regulators, into a single tool and adds a cylinder valve stem tool and a fin spring strap tightener. Titanium does not rust, so it can live in a save-a-dive kit or a BCD pocket. It is for field fixes, such as a leaking hose or a stuck port plug, not a full regulator service, and a seized fitting still needs a full-size spanner. It suits a diver or instructor who wants a light toolkit for the trip.
