The part of a dive light that fails first is rarely the housing. It is the switch, the charge port or the o-ring seat that took a knock from a tank valve in a kit bag on the drive home, and none of that shows until the light is already in the water. A hard case removes the whole category. This one is sized for the 1200 to 1800 series torches at 200 by 135 millimetres internally, which holds the light with its charger, spare cell, ball mount and o-rings together rather than scattered through a bag. Outside it measures 225 by 180 by 100 millimetres, small enough to go in hand luggage without a conversation at the gate. Larger cases in the same series cover the bigger video and canister lights. That answers air travel, a boat deck and shared kit storage. It suits a diver transporting a 1200 to 1800 series light.
