PC105A Protective Case

Description

This is the wide, shallow case in the series: 380 by 310 millimetres internally but only 130 millimetres deep externally, which is the shape a camera tray wants. A tray is broad and flat, and packing one into a deep case wastes most of the volume while packing it into a small case does not work at all. Here the tray lies flat with lights, clamps, a charger and spare cells filling the space around it. Outside it measures 420 by 360 by 130 millimetres. Like the rest of the series it is not tied to a single model, and what it protects is the switch, the charge port and the o-ring seat rather than the housing, since those are the parts that fail quietly and only announce themselves underwater. That answers air travel with a tray rig and storage between trips. It suits a photographer transporting a tray and its lights.
