Description

A rebreather diver who wants live cell readings on the wrist rather than in front of an eye has one obvious choice, and the Petrel 3 Fischer is it, wearing Shearwater's largest 2.6 inch AMOLED behind toughened glass. On a closed circuit trimix dive it monitors one to three oxygen sensors over the Fischer 103 head and holds five bailout gases ready for a single button switch. On an expedition where charging is unreliable, a standard AA runs it up to 100 hours on a Saft cell and a spare costs almost nothing. On a cold shore dive the vibration alerts carry through a hood where an audible alarm would not. Customisable warnings cover maximum depth, dive time and the no decompression limit. It suits a closed circuit diver who prefers a wrist display and replaceable cells over a sealed rechargeable, and the Perdix/Petrel Strap Kit fits it directly.
