Phazer Fins

Description

A fin blade that simply bends wastes the energy it absorbs on the way down and returns none of it. The Phazer is built to give it back: elastomeric side ribs in a wave-shaped structure load during the power stroke and release at a set point in the kick cycle, which is the whole argument for the fin. A Hydro Power Vent lets water flow through the blade along a channel in front of the foot pocket, adding stability and cutting the effort of the recovery stroke. Construction is deliberately tri-material, with foot pocket, blade and side ribs each moulded in a different compound rather than sharing one plastic. A bungee strap with a heel pad goes on and off without a buckle and without blistering the heel. That answers a photographer holding position in current, a long shore swim, and a diver working a drift. It suits a diver who wants more power without a heavier kick.
