Description
A nitrox valve with an M26 outlet thread is deliberately different from a standard air valve, so that a regulator not meant for enriched air cannot be fitted by mistake. It is nitrox ready for EANx up to 40 per cent oxygen and has an M25 cylinder neck thread with a 2 mm pitch. The green handwheel is the usual visual cue for an enriched air cylinder. It must only be used with a regulator that has an M26 outlet thread, and it is not suitable for 5/8 inch DIN air regulators. Fitting belongs with a qualified cylinder technician, and enriched air cylinders and valves should be oxygen clean.
