PT-059 Underwater Housing

Description

A transparent back is not a styling decision. It means water getting in is visible immediately rather than being discovered when the camera is already ruined, and on a housing that is the specification worth having. This one takes the TG-7, TG-6 and TG-5 from the camera's own 15 metre rating down to 45 metres. Construction is durable polycarbonate, which also absorbs impact on land and on a boat, and the port is multi-coated glass to cut internal reflections. Every camera control stays accessible, zoom and flash mode included. A 52 mm threaded mount on the port carries wet wide-angle lenses, macro converters and filters, and two external flash units can be run through the fibre-optic strobe connection. A 1 by 4 inch 20 tripod thread in the base takes trays, arms and lighting systems, and the LCD hood detaches. It weighs approximately 484 grams. It suits a TG owner diving past 15 metres.
