Description

A junior diver gets the same buoyancy control an adult does here, not a stripped-down version of it. Two dump valves are the clearest example: a child vents from whatever position they are in rather than having to sit upright and hunt for a shoulder valve. The jacket is front-adjustable in one size, supplied with small and large cummerbunds so it draws in around a growing frame. The bladder wraps the body for a stable ride at depth in a 420 denier nylon shell, with a balanced inflator handling the air. Two zippered cargo pockets and four plastic D-rings cover stowage, a padded backpack and cummerbund cushion the cylinder, an adjustable sternum strap draws the shoulders in, and a standard web strap on a lightweight buckle secures the tank. Weight is about 2.53 kilograms. Optional gravity release pouches take lead off a belt, which is what digs into a small waist by the second dive of the day. It suits a junior diver, a family or a club.
