Rescue + First Aid + Emergency Oxygen Combo
SKU RFO001
Knowing what to do is half of it. Having the oxygen and knowing how to use it is the other half.
Rescue Diver teaches you to manage a diving emergency. Emergency First Response gives you the CPR and first aid underneath it. But for the injuries that actually happen in diving, decompression illness and lung overexpansion, the single most effective thing available before a chamber is oxygen, given properly and given fast.
This bundle adds that third piece. Emergency Oxygen Provider is short, entirely dry, and it's the difference between having an oxygen kit on the boat and being able to use it under pressure without fumbling.
It matters more here than in most places. On a Sodwana launch, at Aliwal, or an hour offshore, the gap between an incident and proper medical care can run to hours. That gap is exactly where this training earns its keep. All scuba equipment is included throughout.
What You End Up With
PADI Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care, and PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider. Between them, the full chain from recognising a problem in the water to delivering the right care on the surface.
Rescue Diver counts toward Master Scuba Diver and the professional pathway, and Emergency Oxygen Provider counts as one of your five specialities. Booked separately these come to R9,400.

Prerequisites
Frequently Asked Questions
Why add Emergency Oxygen Provider?
Because for a suspected decompression illness, oxygen given promptly is the single most effective thing anyone can do before the casualty reaches a chamber. Rescue Diver teaches you to manage the incident; Emergency Oxygen Provider teaches you to use the one piece of equipment that most changes the outcome. On a remote South African dive site, that gap can run to hours.
Do I need First Aid before I can do Rescue Diver?
Yes, which is precisely why these two are bundled. Rescue Diver requires Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the previous 24 months. Buying them together removes a decision you were going to have to make anyway, and costs less than doing it in two transactions.
Do I have to do the courses back to back?
Not at all. Book the bundle once and then schedule each course as it suits you, whether that's over a fortnight or across a year. The saving is on the package, not on cramming it in, and your bundle price is held regardless of how long you take.
Is equipment included?
Yes. All scuba equipment is included for the duration of every course in the bundle, exactly as it would be if you booked them separately. Site entry fees for qualification dives, and any boat or charter fees, are quoted separately.
What if I don't end up completing the whole bundle?
Talk to us and we'll sort it out sensibly. The discount applies to the package as a whole, so if you stop partway we'd settle up at the standard price for the courses you actually completed. Nobody gets penalised for a change of plan.
Are air fills included in the course price?
No, and that is deliberate. Air is charged as you use it, per fill, and invoiced to you after your session. Every diver breathes differently, and a nervous first-timer will get through considerably more air than someone on their fourth qualification dive. Building a worst-case air allowance into every course fee would mean the lightest breathers subsidising the heaviest, so instead you pay for the air you actually use and the course price stays lower for everyone. We confirm the current fill rate with you when we book your dates, and you are welcome to ask us for it at any point before that. Dive site entrance fees are also paid separately, at the site on the day. Everything else, including your PADI eLearning, your instruction and the use of all scuba equipment, is covered by your course fee.
