Description

A child's swim cap gets pulled on and off by a child, which is exactly the treatment that destroys latex. This one is stretch hypoallergenic silicone, unaffected by ageing or by the action of chlorine, so it survives a term of lessons rather than tearing in the first week. Being durable and elastic also makes it easier for a child to get on without help, and the hypoallergenic silicone matters where a young scalp reacts to latex. Five colourways are offered, which is more useful than decorative: a bright cap is how a coach picks one child out of a lane, and it is how a parent finds them in open water. That answers a swimming lesson, a squad session and a school gala. It suits a child swimming regularly in a pool.
