RIGID STRAIN RELIEF SET

Description

Monitor cables almost never fail in the middle. They fail where the cable leaves the housing, because that is the point that flexes every time the diver moves, and a rigid strain relief is what stops the copper working itself apart. This set replaces the original. On a rebreather where the display is unclipped and re-mounted between dives, the cable exit takes that movement hundreds of times a season. On a sidemounted unit where the run to the wrist is longer, any tug lands on the same few millimetres. On a computer a few seasons old, a perished relief is worth changing before an intermittent reading forces the issue. It fits the cable exit on Shearwater rebreather monitors. It suits a closed circuit diver servicing a monitor cable, and it belongs in the same order as the Fischer Socket Cap.
