Aqualung Rogue Back Assembly

Description

The back plate of a BCD carries the cylinder and takes the whole load of the rig, and it is also the panel that decides where the diver's torso ends and the harness begins. On the Rogue it is a separate assembly for that reason, available in three sizes and joined to the shoulders and waistband by ModLock connectors, so torso length is chosen independently of shoulder width and waist size. A webbed daisy chain runs across it, borrowed from military equipment, giving attachment points anywhere along its length rather than at two fixed D-rings. It comes off with a pen or a key, which means it can be removed to cut packed volume for a flight, or replaced on its own years later when the webbing has finally worn. That answers a diver whose torso does not match their waist, a rebuild after wear, and a traveller packing a BCD flat. It suits a Rogue owner sizing or replacing the back of the harness.
