Description

A fixed webbing harness sets its fit once and then asks the diver to squirm into it, which is an unpleasant way to get out of a rig on a rolling boat. TEK LOC shoulder buckles solve that: they move up or down the plate to suit torso length, each shoulder set on its own, and they release under a drysuit and hood then return to the same setting. The set comprises the S-TEK PRO harness, a 3D formed plate in either stainless steel or anodised aluminium, and the 13 kilogram S-TEK Donut Wing. Moulded Monprene pads cushion shoulders, waist and back. Two pre-bent D-rings sit on the shoulders, two on the waist and two on the crotch strap, and the plate carries EVO-Angle webbing slots, argon and trim-weight mounting points and a carry handle. The wing shell is 1000D Cordura over a 500D bladder. Thirteen kilograms is the single-cylinder size, so a twinset calls for more lift. It suits a technical diver wanting an adjustable backplate rig.
