S-TEK SPINNER SPOOL BLACK
The SCUBAPRO S-TEK Spinner Spool is a line spool with spinner discs on the sides, available here in 50 ft and 150 ft line lengths. Squeezing the discs together applies a disc-brake effect on the line, which is how tension is controlled without gripping the spool body.
The discs stay static while the spool rotates between them. That is the difference from an ordinary spool, which tries to spin out of the hand as line runs off it, and it is why this design is easier to control on a delayed SMB deployment. The body is injection-moulded fibreglass-reinforced nylon with a stainless steel axle and screws, shaped so it clips off to a bolt snap, and a stainless bolt snap is included.
