Scubaclear Antifog

Description

Fogging is beading. Condensation collects into droplets on the inside of a lens and scatters light, and what an anti-fog does is lay a film that makes the same moisture spread out flat instead. This one is completely organic and 100 percent formaldehyde-free, clinically tested, bacteria free and non-irritating to eyes or skin, which is more than can be said for the improvised alternatives divers reach for on a boat. It comes as 30 millilitres in a spray-capped bottle, and since a small dab treats a lens, one bottle runs to several trips. Two practical notes. On a mask straight out of the box the factory silicone film has to come off first, because anti-fog laid over that film does very little. And it is applied before each dive rather than once a season: a drop inside, rubbed across the lens, then rinsed. It treats the lens and nothing else. It suits any diver clearing a fogged mask mid-dive.
