SCUBAPRO HRM BELT 2
The SCUBAPRO HRM Belt 2 is an elastic chest belt carrying a lightweight waterproof ECG transmitter, worn against the skin. It sends heart rate wirelessly to a compatible SCUBAPRO dive computer, where the reading is displayed and fed into the decompression calculation.
That is the part worth understanding: the computer is not simply showing heart rate, it is using it as a workload input. A diver working hard on-gasses faster than one drifting, and an algorithm that knows the difference produces a plan matched to the dive being done. The transmitter also takes a patented skin temperature measurement, which is factored in alongside the heart rate.
