Scubatech Coil Lanyard with Snap Hook

Description

A camera, torch or slate that is unclipped to use and then let go tends to drift off, sink or swing into the reef. This Scubatech coil lanyard keeps it tethered on a spiral cord that stretches to about 100 cm and springs back when released. One end has a plastic snap hook for a D-ring, the other a cord loop with a quick-release buckle that goes around the item. On a photography dive, a compact camera can be pushed out to frame a shot and left to hang close to the chest between frames. For a diver using a slate on a training course, it stops the slate floating away during a skill. Colours are black, blue, red and yellow, which helps match or mark different pieces of kit. It is a tether for light items, not a lifting line. It suits a diver who wants small kit tethered but free to use.
