Cylinder Band 171 mm

Description

A 12 L steel cylinder is commonly 171 mm across, and a band sized for that diameter clamps it without a long tail of spare webbing. This Scubatech cylinder band is made for single 171 mm cylinders and closes with a cam buckle, with a small dive flag patch on the webbing. On a dive centre's rental rack, it fits the everyday 12 L steel cylinder in one pull of the buckle. On a personal BCD used with the same cylinder size every weekend, it avoids loose webbing flapping in the current. Wetting the webbing before the final tightening stops it loosening during the dive, and a larger 203 mm cylinder needs a longer band. It suits a diver or dive centre strapping a 171 mm cylinder to a BCD or backplate.
