Eagle Knife

Description

A leg knife should come out cleanly in cold hands and go back without a fight, and the Eagle is built around that routine. Its 120 mm double-edged blade in 420 stainless steel has a plain edge, a serrated edge and a notch for line, set in a 245 mm knife with a rubberised yellow and black handle. On a winter shore dive in thick gloves, the finger guard and textured grip give something solid to push against when sawing through rope. On a holiday liveaboard, the latched sheath and pair of straps keep it fixed on the calf through daily giant-stride entries. A steel hammer at the end of the handle can tap out a signal on a cylinder. The pointed tip needs a little care when working close to an inflated wing or a drysuit. It suits a diver who prefers a classic mid-size knife with a grippy handle.
