Scubatech Hose Wrap

Description

Where a hose rubs against a cylinder valve, a harness buckle or the edge of a backplate, the outer cover wears through long before the hose itself gives out. This Scubatech hose wrap is a spiral plastic sleeve that winds around a hose to take that abrasion instead. On a technical rig where a long hose runs past a canister light and a pair of bolt snaps, a short length at each rub point protects the cover. It also colour-codes a hose, since a bright wrap on the octopus or a deco regulator hose makes it easier to pick out at a glance. It winds onto a hose that is already fitted, so there is no need to disconnect anything from the regulator, although the length supplied is not published. It suits a diver who wants to protect and mark regulator hoses at low cost.
