Knife Strap

Description

Rubber knife straps perish in sun and salt long before the knife itself wears out, and a strap that snaps on entry can mean a lost blade. These Scubatech replacements come in two styles, and the plain 50 cm rubber strap threads through the slots of a leg-knife sheath and suits a diver refitting an older knife for another season of boat diving. The 45 cm version adds a plastic quick-release clip, similar to a weight belt buckle, so the knife can go on and off a calf over a drysuit or thick wetsuit without re-threading each time. Both are rubber, which grips neoprene well and stops the sheath rotating. Fit on other brands' sheaths is not published, so slot width is worth measuring first. It suits a diver who wants to bring a trusted knife back into service without replacing it.
