Mastercut II Knife

Description

Some jobs call for the biggest blade on the boat, such as clearing heavy net off a wreck or freeing a mooring rope that has wrapped around a shot line. The Mastercut II is a long knife at 270 mm, with a 145 mm double-edged blade in 420 stainless steel. One edge is plain, the other serrated, and a notch near the guard takes thinner line. On a cold wreck dive in thick gloves, the deeply profiled handle and hammer butt give a secure grip and a way to signal on steel. For an instructor who needs to be seen, the fluoro yellow version stands out on a leg at the pool or in a murky lake. Both colours come with a latched plastic sheath and two straps for calf or arm. It is a big knife and sits best on the leg, not on a chest strap. It suits a diver who wants maximum cutting length in a traditional design.
